Oot Medallions

So in the spirit of breaking the news that I LOVE Zelda, I have the 6 Ocarina of Time medallions all made out for you to use.  I made the patterns, yes, but let's face it, I'm a horrible artist, so a link to the original artwork will be on each individual pattern because that's just how I do things.  First is the Light Medallion:

Next the Forest Medallion (yes, I'm going in order....mostly):

The Fire Medallion:

The Water Medallion (biggest pain to obtain in the game):

The Spirit Medallion:

And finally the Shadow Medallion:

If you find any of the colors off from what you think they should be, feel free to tell me. I am more than obliging change things if I have to.  And with that I am off!! Happy Stitching!!

A Cat and a Different Obsession

So yesterday was horrible for me. It wasn't even because it was a terrible day....it was the night before that ruined it for me.  I had to work from 2-10pm, but of course I also had to study for two tests and do finishing touches on a presentation I was to give the next day, so I did that until 2 am. Once I was trying to fall alseep, though, I ended up "dreaming" about making burgers and everything I did or thought ended up with me thinking about work one way or another, and it was horrible because I thought I wasn't sleeping.  At 5 am, though, I got fed up and played a game for a little while and was able to sleep peacefully (enough) until I had to get up at 6:30am. So needless to say, I didn't do as well on the tests as I hoped I would but the presentation was ok. The best part? Coming home and napping.  And, I don't have class today so I got to sleep in!! I do have to work, though, so it's not a complete waste to a day.

So, with that out of the way, I will present my patterns for you.  This first one is, of course, a cat. It's adorable, as usual, and not too hard to stitch, I believe.  The pattern I made, but the original image is not.  A link to the original image can be found on the pattern.

This next pattern is in homage of my second obsession......ZELDA!!!!! This particular pattern is about the Wind Waker version of the game.  Again, I made the pattern, but the original artwork is not mine.  A link to the original artwork can be found on the pattern.

So that's it for today. Happy Stitching!!

Good News, a Finished Piece, and a Pattern

So I have a job, now!!! McDonald's on the expressway near where I live.  Super stoked, yet nervous. Never had a job where I actually had to DO something to make people happy. Anyway, I finished a piece a couple days ago, but I forgot that I didn't post it anywhere, so here it is.  The pattern was made by DawnMLC.  Links to her sites are under the links section.  Another Sailor Moon rod, yes, but I want to make all of her weapons and I'm really close. So here it is.

This next bit is a pattern. Again, I made the pattern, but not the original artwork.  A link to the original artwork is on the pattern itself.

Well, today's my first day of work and I have to prepare. Happy Stitching!!

A Realization!!

So I realized, after writing my last post, that I've been slightly selfish. I've been posting all the patterns that I've wanted up as opposed to patterns that other people might actually want. So, with that said, I am willing to take suggestions from others and make patterns for them, similar to what sprite stitch does but different. I am open suggestions in the sense that you give me a concept/category/subject for me to find pictures/sprites for and I'll make them happen, in my way.  I will, of course, keep posting my own patterns, as impersonal as they are. Anyway, I, of course, will post a pattern for the world....as small as that world is at this present moment.  This pattern will show a different side of my dorky/geeky/nerdy side (haven't decided which one I am quite yet. I'm leaning towards dorky, though).  This pattern is the various images of Amidala from Star Wars!! WOOOO!!.....anyway, here she is. As usual, the link to the original artwork is on the pattern itself.

And as usual, my customary cat pattern.....please tell me if you're getting tired of seeing cats  on your feed. I will limit them if you tell me to, truly. Again, a link to the original artwork is on the pattern itself.

I hope you enjoy stitching these as much as I enjoy making the patterns.....even though they aren't my original pieces. Happy Stitching!!

Cat and Bee

These patterns I made mostly because I thought the original artwork was cute.....and I'm obsessed with cats. Mostly just my cats, but still cats. Anyway, this first one is more Halloween-ish, but I guess I can get away with saying its a homage to Fall, which would be slightly more accurate. A link to the original artwork is on the picture itself.

This next one is a bee. I guess this can be more springtime, summer feel, which shows as a reminder of how glorious those seasons are.....sometimes.  Again, a link to the original artwork is on the picture itself.

Isn't it cute? Anyway, hope you enjoy!!

Sailor Moon and Another Cat

Ok, as I'm sure you've noticed by now, I love cats.  I have 3 of my own that I can't be with because of school and therefore have to compensate by making patterns and/or stitching them. I've been doing more of the former, but that is not the point.  Here is a pattern I made from a pixel art on deviant art that I just cannot re-find the picture of, no matter how long I look for it. I would truly appreciate it if anyone who reads this would make an attempt to look for the original artwork so I can credit it. EDIT: i found the person who made this!! yay, me!!! anyway, the original artist is HidesBehindThings on deviant art (http://hidesbehindthings.deviantart.com/). original artwork can be found here (http://hidesbehindthings.deviantart.com/gallery/11334035?offset=24#/d2znyno). Yay Google!!

This one is also a homage to my childhood idol, Sailor Moon. This, however, is not Sailor Moon but Sailor Saturn in her non transformed form, I'm just lapsing in her name.  The original image can be found here (http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=1649&u=11433803).  The artist is Ashkanie on deviant art (http://ashkanie.deviantart.com/).

I feel like I'm missing something, but I don't know what it is. Oh well. Happy stitching!!

Bad News, but a Couple Patterns

So I didn't get the job and my car is leaking oil and it's going to take a lot of money to get fixed. Stupid car. Anyway, despite my troubles, life must go on and when there are stitchers, there are patterns, here is a pattern for you. This first one is quite adorable. The link to the original artwork is on the pattern itself.

This second one second one I'm not as fond of but still find it to have it's own cuteness about it. Again, the link to the original artwork is on the pattern itself.

Yeah, I know, a bit lazy of me not to be all specific and say who made it, but like I said, I'm not in the best of moods and I did take the time to find the original artwork to put onto the pattern. So happy stitching!!

Sailor Moon Weapon and A Pattern

first of all, i would like to say that my interview went well yesterday, and will know whether i'm hired or not tomorrow.  next, i finished another sailor moon pattern. again, i did not make this pattern but got it from the lovely DawnMLC (read previous post for all related links). took me a little longer to make this one only because i wanted to be able to catch up on the sleep that i lost the other night.

next, i have a pattern i made myself.  this one is another one of those "icons turned pattern" patterns that i just couldn't resist making....even though the artist said in his/her post not to use it, but it's not like i'm going to be making a profit from it and i expect people to be smart enough not to sell items that they make using my patterns, so i'm not too worried about it. anyway, this pattern was made by Messybun on deviant art (http://messybun.deviantart.com/).  the original artwork can be found here (http://messybun.deviantart.com/gallery/32115486#/d236cmx).  and here's the pattern:

use it well, and use it legally. make it to decorate your home or give it to a friend as a gift, but do not sell it. probably should have mentioned that sooner, but i assume that anyone who visits this blog already has at least an understanding of copyright laws to some extent. anyway, happy stitching!!

Finished My Geisha and Stitched a Quick Little Sailor Moon....Thing

i may not have mentioned this, but i do in fact stitch myself.  i haven't stitched any of my creations just yet, but i'll get around to it....eventually. this first one i started back in mid may and finished it just last night. i had wanted to finish it before school started, but the week beforehand that was original set aside for cross stitch pieces turned into, "I need money.....camp called. Let's work there!!!" week.  it was kind of random, to say the least, only working at a camp for a week, but i really needed the money. anyway.....here is my lovely geisha. got it at joann's on sale in ohio. parent's live there so i was there for just about the entire summer.

it's stitched on 18 ct. fabric. it came from a dimensions, gold series, kit.  i thoroughly enjoyed making it, even if the back stitching was a bit of a nuisance. completely worth it.

next, i made a quick little sailor moon item from my extensive collection of patterns.  this one was not made by me but by DawnMLC on deviant art (http://dawnmlc.deviantart.com/).  i have made a number of her other patterns, as well, so this isn't the first one i've done of hers. her web sites no longer exists, but i took it upon myself to post all the sailor moon patterns on Sprite Stitch.  it truly is a wonderful site for your geeky side....and mine. anyway, here's the finished product.

i love how it turned out and love how little time it took me to complete. i completed it in just a few hours, although i probably should have worked on it a little sooner in the day as i wake up early for class every day, whether it's necessary or not.

i guess on a more personal note, i have a job interview tomorrow and i'm very happily nervous for it...i guess. i mean, it's normal to be nervous but i'm happy that i even have a job interview in the first place, what with the economy the way that it is and the amount of students at my school. my next project, i believe, will be another sailor moon weapon, so stick around!! it shouldn't take me too long to make. happy stitching!!

My 9/11 Tribute

so as i'm sure you all know, it's the 10th anniversary of 9/11, and i figured i would make a pattern for it. it's fairly large, but i think it's really pretty. not my design, but i did make the pattern. the drawing was made by the lovely Hushkey1 on deviant art. you can find the original drawing here ( http://hushkey1.deviantart.com/art/The-Sun-Will-Shine-257633858 ).

i hope you enjoy!!

on a less depressing note, i spent a fair amount of the day yesterday making patterns out of sprites that i found. this particular one i find absolutely adorable and hope that anyone who cares uses it well. the sprite for this was made by Yagoni, also on deviant art. you can view the original art here ( http://yagoni.deviantart.com/gallery/26777561#/d308ax6 ).

hope you enjoy!! and happy stitching.

First Post

so this is my first post. yay!! so i made this blog mostly to post any patterns i make since i've been making so many these days that i know i won't ever make all of them.  at this point, they're mostly sprites that i found  through deviant art and google that i converted with a pattern maker. however, i have made a couple original pieces that i might share....eventually. at this point, i have no idea how to post anything besides comments, so i'll save the patterns for when i figure out to post them. later!!
