Laziness Gets in the Way Too Much

Life has gotten in the way, yet again.  Haven't been very stitch productive, but I'm doing the best I can.  I haven't done anything to the Chandelier piece since I last posted.  I have, however, started a small Thomas Kinkade piece.  It's a small Beauty and the Beast piece, which I also have the large version of.  Silly me couldn't remember which one I had when I bought the small one. Oh, well. I like Beauty and the Beast, so I don't mind.

I also received my swap gift for the Sept/Oct 2013 Sprite Stitch from Johloh, which I was super excited about.  The perlers have magnets on the back of them, and the gold bits are in Pokemon badges.  They are meant to be necklace pendants.  I do not have chains for them yet, but I will....eventually.  Been a bit disorganized lately, so my life is mildly chaotic.

I have a few other projects, but I forgot to take pictures of them.  Next time....maybe, lol.

Patterns!

If I don't post again this month, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Happy stitching!!

Chandelier WIP and a Bunch of Other Finishes

I know it's been a while, but I've been busy with work and other life events.  So I have a bunch of finishes and a WIP.  First up, the Chandelier WIP.  Presently, all of the cross stitching is done!! All that's left is the back stitching and the beading. The beading is going to take FOREVER!!!

Now for finishes.  This first one I made for my one overly exuberant co-worker after her father passed away.

I made this next for a former co-worker for his birthday/going-back-to-college gift.  It's the logo of his favorite baseball team.

I made this one for a different former co-worker as a wedding gift.  It was stitched on ivory fabric with hunter green floss and a rose colored floss.  I messed up the date in this picture, but I have since fixed it to the correct year.

Then I participated in this years Sept/Oct Sprite Stitch mini swap.  I made this on 28-ct evenweave.  I only regret not doing more for this swap.  However, I am glad that the person who received it liked it.

My last finish for the night is a birthday gift for my BFF, who loves the more classic books and poetry, so I made this for her.  She also picked out the pattern when I visited her in July, so I thought it would make a nice birthday gift.  It's a little late, but that's because I had it custom framed and that took longer than it should have.  I wasn't able to get a picture of it framed.  I would stitch this again in a heartbeat if I had a reason to.

Now for patterns.  No particular theme this time, although, if I had to choose, I would say Halloween/Autumn.

That's all for now.  Happy Stitching!!

Another Chandelier WIP

I have another WIP on my Chandelier piece to show off.  I would have liked to have finished the border, but I ran out of the floss.  It's going to take a while to get it since it takes a "special" trip to my local cross-stitch shop to get.  I know I could get it online, but I don't want to.  I'm a little weird like that.

Now for patterns.  It's a hoge poge this week.

Happy Stitching!!

Chandelier WIP

I know I haven't posted a Chandelier WIP in a while.  The reason for this is that I'm working white on white and it doesn't show very well in pictures.  However, I am now done with the white and have been working diligently with other colors that will help the white pop out a little better.

I have some summer inspired patterns for you all this post.

That is all for now.  Happy Stitching!!

The Geek In Me

I recently got a new vehicle and I decided I wanted to "geek it out", so to speak.  So I first got decals and a bumper sticker.  Then, I made a Master Sword hanging thing for the rear view mirror.  Then I bought seat covers and stitched Zelda stuff and the headrest covers.  The pictures are self explanatory.

I also finished my last entry for the June/July 2013.  It's the Hyrule Crest.  I'm not as happy with it as I initially was when I was planning it out, but it's still okay.  I worked it out so that it correlates with the spiritual stones and sage medallions.  I had to be a bit creative with a few of them.

No patterns this time.  Happy Stitching!!

Geeky Finishes and Half a WIP Done

I have the top half of the Chandelier piece done now. Well, more than half at this point. I haven't taken any recent pictures of it, yet.

I also have two pieces done for the current Sprite Stitch challenge. The challenge was to take the given outlines of video game logos and color them in like a coloring book.  It's a two month challenge and I'm not sure if I'm going to do another one or not.  I choose to stitch the Kingdom Hearts logo and one of the Zelda logos.

I have a few patterns for you all, now.  It's a little early, but I decided to post Christmas ornaments.

That is all for now.  Happy Stitching!!

Celtic Noel Finished and a WIP on the Chandelier Piece

I apologize for the long hiatus.  The only excuse I can give is that I lost a touch of steam back in January after completing the Midna piece and have only just recently found the motivation to stitch again.  Don't get me wrong, I've been keeping busy with work, car troubles, Skyrim, and my new-found elation with losing weight (15 pounds!!), but those things don't seem to be a good enough excuse.  So I am back, for the time being.

As noted, I finally finished Celtic Noel, to my mother's delight.  I know it's  few months late, but better late than never.  I finished the beading on it Monday, May 13th, 2013.  I have provided detail shots of the beading.  Hope you enjoy!

This next photo is a WIP shot of the Chandelier piece.

I decided to post some Hello Kitty patterns this time.  I find them to be quite cute.

And I am done for this post!  It's good to be stitching again and I hope to post again soon. Happy Stitching!!
