I finished the Fairy Secret Love project!!! Woo! Finished it tonight. It's been ironed and what-not. It's just a shame that I can't afford to get it framed. That seems to be the case for many of my projects. Anyway, here's what it looks like. I've included some detail shots.
I feel the bead work could have been better, but I didn't want to redo it all. Now I have to wait for a new project to come my way. I decided to volunteer to stitch up a couple patterns for a book the site admin has decided to publish that includes Star Trek patterns. I am looking forward to it, since I would get a free book in the bargain, so yay for me!! However, that doesn't start up for a couple more days, so I'm patiently waiting for that to start up. It's super secret, so I would not be able to post the pattern or post a picture of it until the book came out. I'm sure it'll be fantastic, though.
Now for some patterns. More Flags!!!
If there are any particular flags you would like to see, tell me and I will do what I can. Happy Stitching!!

So Close...
I'm almost done with the secret fairy love project!! All cross stitching is finished. All that's left is the back stitching and the beading. I'm really looking forward to the beading. Here's what it looks like now.
Now for some patterns. More flags.
For those in the U.S., Happy Independence Day!!! Happy Stitching!!

More WIP photos
Again, another hiatus of nothing, but I was doing job stuff out of state. I did land a job, but I couldn't afford to live in the area, so I had to decline the job offer, which stinks because there's nothing in the area I live in now. I will keep looking, though. Anyway, while away, I did no stitching, but then I come back and I do tons of stitching. I'm to the point where I'm going to start using blending filaments, so that's always really exciting. Granted there are a few spots that I will need to go over again in terms of, "Oh, I forgot a stitch here. Let's fill it in." I'm hoping that won't take too long. Anyway, the first picture is from two days ago, and the second picture is from the end of today. I'm so close, and yet so far away with finishing it.
This would go ever so slightly faster if it wasn't so hot these last few days. Anyway, right before I left (quite literally actually) I received my gift from my swap person. Have to say, I like them, but I'm not in love with them. For one, they broke while being sent here, which means a number of things occurred to make that happen. Second, I like the kirby necklace, but the stitching is uneven in the sense that the crosses go in different directions for every row. Third, I'm not someone who likes to accessorize in terms of hair, whether the accessory is something geeky or not. I'm really trying not to be rude, it's just that these items weren't my "cup of tea". I like the Nintendo concept, but not how it was used.
Now that my trip down guilty lane is done, I have patterns for you. I'm going to try to follow the Olympic stride in a way. I have made patterns of flags from different countries. I will do what I can to get as many flags up between now and when the Olympics end, I guess. Like I say, we'll see how it goes.
Anyway, if anyone knows of someplace I could at least make an attempt to apply to, please send me those suggestions. And with that, I am done for the day. Happy Stitching!!

Let's Play Catch Up
Sorry for the hiatus, but I have been busy and preoccupied with real life. Fortunately, I have a job interview on Tuesday, unfortunately it's in a different state than where I'm living. Luckily, one of my brothers already lives and works there, so at least I have a place to stay, even if the getting there will be tricky. Since buses and planes are too expensive at the moment for the family, I will be driving in my very unreliable and very old (hence why it's unreliable) vehicle, hopefully tomorrow, as long as some miscellaneous things go through, otherwise the interview will have to be postponed, yet again. Anyway, it's been a long week and this week won't be any shorter.
Let's get on to stitching!! I have made excellent progress on forbidden love and am excited to share it with you. Naturally, it isn't done yet, but it's getting there.
Now for patterns.
Hope those satisfy your pattern thirst for a while. Not sure when I'll post next since the next couple days are going to be hectic at best. Hope you all a great week!! Happy Stitching!!

Taking Care of Business
I couldn't think of a better title. Anyway, lots of good news. Now that my part of the sprite stitch swap is over and my swappie has received her gift, I can post what I made for her.
All of them together:
The fairy and tardis keychains and The Night Before Christmas buttons:
OoT Spiritual Stones necklaces and Fairy bracelet/anklet:
Lon Lon Milk Bottle button and Cinderella button:
Fairy earrings:
As my "big" item, I bought a pillowcase and stitched the Tardis onto it. The rupee bag was an added bonus:
A close up of the Tardis:
She absolutely LOVED them, and I was very happy to make them. The most pain in the butt piece to make, though, was by far the Tardis, since I didn't realize how difficult it would be to take out all of the waste fabric from between the stitches.
Now for a quick WIP picture of the Forbidden Love piece. I was able to manage to stitch a little during my "vacation" and this is the progress of that weekend and yesterday and today:
The flowers in the top left portion of this piece is the part that's been bothering me the most because of the sporadic-ness of the colors, so there have been minor pulling out of some stitching here and there. Then there's the occasional, "Darn, I missed a stitch here and there and now I can't remember exactly where they were." I was able to get every color for this piece except for one, which is quite frustrating, but what can you do but look online and find it there.
Last, but not least, some patterns. They are Spring-y, and I hope you enjoy.
Without further ado, that is it for the day. Happy Stitching!!

It was a Long Weekend, and It's Going to be an Even Longer Week
Good news: I finished my swap gift(s), but I still can't post the finished product until the person receives, so let's hope it's soon because it's killing me not to post pictures as much as I'm sure it's killing you not to see them. I also had a successful commencement ceremony. The only problem was that there was a person directly behind me that complained the majority of the time about how the person got her name wrong. It did not help that she was drunk and was, therefore, more emotional about it than was necessary. That and we were both sitting fairly close to the front so it was quite literally the entire time.
Anyway, here's why it was a long weekend and why it's going to be an even longer week: there has been a death in the family and we found out last Friday, but the service isn't until this Saturday. The long part about it is that it's not being held in the state I live in but the state where the majority of my family lives, so it's a lot of traveling within a small amount of time with not a lot of free time in between.
But enough about that, I'm sure you're more interested in how my stitching has been so here it is. Since I did not bring the fairy project with me this last trip to my first home, I did not get a lot done. However, I have been a busy bee these last couple days and have managed to get quite a bit more done with it. Here it is!!
I do have a few patterns for you lovely people, as well. In light of the season, I have decided to post food....I don't know why, but it seems oddly appropriately.
There you have it!! I won't have much internet access until Monday, so don't expect postings until then. Happy Stitchings!!!

Very Much Behind on my Postings
Due to my long absence in the blogging world, this is going to be a long post.
First, I have some finished pieces that others have made using my patterns. Keep it up!! I want to see more. This first one was made by elf1angel on deviant art. I love how they turned out and I love how the complete set worked out even more. Fabulous job!! The second one was done by meg010557, who is also on deviant art. This one I find to be more cute than fabulous, but I'm happy to see it done, either way.
Secondly, I have a finished so many projects within the last few weeks that I honestly can't keep count. The worst part of it all is that I'm NOT allowed to post them yet, as they are for my swappie over on Sprite Stitch, which is quite bothersome since I know you all would LOVE to them. I swear, I will post pictures as soon as I can. However, I did manage to finish something that I am allowed to post. I got the pattern from the lovely lady at dorkstitch. I made it for my brother since I made him a Zelda version of it already, so I thought it would be nice to complete the pair. I put a Triforce and his initials in glow-in-the-dark floss, but I couldn't find a good way to accentuate that, so I apologize. It looks nice otherwise, though.
Third, I have been working on the fairy forbidden love piece for the last couple of days and I've made a fair amount of progress with it. The first photo is after one day of stitching, the second is the second day, and the third is today's progress. The worst parts of this piece is that I don't have all materials for it yet and I ran out of one of the colors. The horrible part is that I can't quite afford to get all the supplies I need quite yet, so this is going to be one of those long duration projects.
Last, but not least, I have some patterns. I think they're self-explanatory.
I won't be posting anytime soon because I'll be going out of the state to attend my college graduation ceremony this weekend. I will have no internet access where I'm going, so bear with me. It's a crazy time in my life right now, and I'm doing what I can. Thank you all for your patience and Happy Stitching!!!
