Darn You, LIFE!!

Life has gotten ahead of me lately.  First, I didn't want to post because I didn't want to post too soon, then I became lazy, and then I became busy.  Anyway, I'm a lot closer to finishing Celtic Noel.  I'm currently working on the gold metallic thread, but I won't post any progress on that until I finish the skirt.  The metallic is a PAIN!  It definitely makes for some slow stitching.  Here's what I'm willing to show.

So close, and yet so far away, from being done.  Just the metallic thread, backstitching, and bead work.  Optimistic that it will be done by Christmas....as long as I'm stitching almost constantly, lol.

I have finished pieces that have been stitched by others from my patterns.  First, we have Jo, who stitched a number of my halloween related cats. The first one is a in the dark version of the cat in the second image.  She made two cards out of the third image.

Next, rosey175 completed her Halloween cat with some very special touches.

Third, animeloverblonde09 also stitched one of the Halloween cats.

Lastly,  shiori500 stitched the last Avatar bender symbol.

Now for some patterns!!

I am spending a week away with my brother in Virginia, so it is unlikely that I will post anytime before Thanksgiving.  With that, I wish all of you Americans a Happy Thanksgiving, and for all those non-Americans, Happy Stitching!!

Continued Work on Celtic Noel

Work is progressing on the Celtic Noel.  It's slower than it has been since I recently bought Pokemon White 2 and have been playing it when I can.  I'm currently stuck training just before the 5th gym, so I decided to do some more stitching.  I will show two pictures; the first is my progress from last time I posted to Sunday night, and the second picture is progress from the last two days.

Next, I have a finished piece stitched from one of my patterns by animeloverblonde09 on DeviantArt.  It's absolutely adorable and I love that someone was able to stitch it, even if it wasn't me.

Now for more patterns.  Again, these the Christmas alterations of the dragons on Dragon Cave.

Celtic Noel WIP

I started a new job recently that's Mon-Fri, so it's taking longer than I would like it to finish the Celtic Noel piece, but I'm doing surprisingly well considering the size of it and the time I have to stitch it.  So, here's what I have so far.  I would have more done for this week if my family and I didn't spend so much time out of the house this weekend.  Sometimes, a girl just needs time to be at home.  Anyway, without further ado...

The fabric is a touch smaller than I would like it to be, but I'm glad that it all fits.

I also have a finished piece that Rosey175 has stitched from one of my patterns.  She changed certain parts of it, but it still looks great.

Now I have some Christmas related patterns for you all to cherish.  They are dragons from Dragon Cave.  They are the Christmas versions of dragons on that site that I particularly like.  If you have a personal favorite, feel free to tell me and I will make a pattern of it.  Here's four for now for your stitching pleasure.

More Celtic WIP and My Swap Gift to Someone

I'll try to keep this short as it's getting close to my bedtime. First, the person I made my for in the Sprite Stitch swap has received her gift, so now I can post what I did.  I made quite a few items.  I bought a scarf and stitched a Tardis and a Zelda/Okami/Kingdom Hearts mashup piece onto it.  I also stitched up two pins from Okami, one of Issun and one of Ammi, who glows-in-the-dark.  I stitched the Oathkeeper keyblade and framed it, adding beachglass to the frame as a decorative feature.  I also stitched a three-dimensional Tardis that can be used as either a ornament or a keychain.  I stitched a Zelda piece, too, and put it in a hoop. Lastly, I stitched a regular old Keyblade as a keychain, the Mickey symbol has two sides that are different colors.  I also made a card with a keyblade on it, and beach glass from Lake Erie were taped to the inside of the card, however, I was not able to take a picture of it before I sent it.  The Oathkeeper and Zelda pieces were stitched on 28 or 32 ct evenweave cloth over 1, so that was fun.

Second, I did more work on the Celtic Noel.  This is one weeks progress, give or take a few days.

Celtic Christmas WIP

I have started on a new piece.  I decided to work on the Christmas pattern that I posted last time. So here's the two day progress.

I also finished something.  I got the pattern from Dorkstitch, who makes such lovely patterns (yes, missy, you may post this on your blog, along with the other Zelda pattern I made a while ago).  I used a variation color, and stitched it on 32 ct evenweave over 1!! It was fun, and I like how it turned out.  That a six inch hoop in that picture, as a size reference.

I also have a finished piece from shiori500, who I think is just dynamite.  She stitched this from one of my patterns.

Busy Week....But in a Good Way

Busy week, but in a good way, of course.  First, finished pieces.  These were all done by shiori500 on deviantart.  I'm very impressed with the speed she has in finishing all these in such a short amount of time.

Alright, now for the part that was busy in a good way.  I went Joann shopping yesterday, and I got soooo much for so little, comparatively.  I also went to my local cross stitch shop and got a number of things, as well.  First, here is a picture of all the stuff together.

I got the two pieces of colored fabric, the pattern, and the beads at the cross stitch shop, while everything else I got at Joann's.  The things I'm most proud of in terms of a good deal were the huge pack of white AIDA and the scissors.  Here's a closer image of the two.

Yes, folks, that is one piece of AIDA that is 60 inches by 48 inches...for $11!!! And the scissors, which are supposedly really great, $10!! Thank Joann's for the 50% off coupons!!  Now, my between my mother and me, I got 4 patterns at the cross stitch.  Here they are.

I hope to eventually do all of them.  I don't know which one to do first, so any personal suggestions will be taken into consideration.

Labor Day Weekend

The Sprite Stitch mini swap is well under way, and I am finishing things fairly quickly.  I probably would not have been able to get as much done with them if I didn't have a 4-day weekend, so thank my job for that.  I can't wait to post the pictures as they truly are wonderful and I can't wait to hear what my swappee thinks of them.

Now, I have some finished works that I can present.  These were made by other people using my patterns, and I'm quite pleased with how they turned out.  This first picture is technically three finished pieces.  celestialqueen24 of deviantart is responsible for stitching this first picture up, and, as I said before, I believe she has done a very good job of stitching them.

This second one was made by laura-burns, who is also on deviantart.  She made Hedwig.
