Skeleton Crew WIP and Some Small Finishes

Well, life has greatly improved for me. My ex is completely behind me, I got hired on full-time, and I have someone new in my life.  So those are the major pluses.

Well, I have a bunch of small finishes and Sprite Stitch Swap gifts to show off.  First, I'll start with the swap.  This year, I made some Portal themed items that was well received.  I think you'll see why. As for the received gift, it definitely made my day when the package came.  I received several Harry Potter themed goodies that I'm afraid to really try, a Sailor Moon themed scarf, a Navi amigurami, a Pokemon themed thread catcher (which I use for my tv remotes), and a jar with the Skyrim logo and popular phrase "Fus Ro Dah."

For a Sprite Stitch Challenge, I painted something.  I got an appreciation badge for it...otherwise, no votes.  I didn't even vote for it, lol.  The theme was...something about homes. Anyway, I painted Hyrule Castle. I tried to make it look like the Ocarina of Time version.

I also made some small pieces for some of my coworkers. Really small pieces, like 4 inches. Nothing too fancy, but they liked them.

And last but not least, I have a Skeleton Crew WIP to show off.  It's coming along nicely.  I don't have as much time to stitch as I'd like to, but I do what I do what I can.

No patterns today.  I figured this post was too picture heavy without adding patterns to it, too.  Hope you enjoyed, and Happy Stitching!!

Finished The Night

I just put the finishing touches on The Night piece I've been diligently working on for the past year, and I am very happy with how it came out.  The bead work was surprising easy, and the outlying stitches drove me bonkers, but she is done and I couldn't be more proud of myself.

Woo!! Like I said, I'm really happy with how well this turned out, even with the color differences of the bottom couple of inches.

Patterns!!

That's it for this post. I'm probably not going to be posting for a little while. I recently made a life decision that will keep me from probably doing anything for a while.  Will give more details in next post, however far into the future that may be. I'm nervous and feel like I'm going to regret it in some way, but I know it has to be done in order to be happy.  In the meantime, Happy Stitching!!

Closer to Being Done...The Night WIP

Yet another The Night WIP.  It is really coming along and my hands are hurting trying to finish these bottom few inches.  However, since I now have no job, I have the time to finish it in a somewhat timely matter.  It sucks not having a job, but the fiance had the better paying job and we only have the one car, so that's how that went.  Anyway, my progress on this piece is coming along nicely.

I'm not overly crazy about the fact that the color of the bottom two inches of the dress don't quite match the top part, but I think it might be because of the time difference between stitching the top and bottom....that or the dye lots aren't quite the same, which is even more aggravating to think about.

Now for patterns.

I know I've done some doubles, so I apologize for that.  It's hard to keep track of them all after a while.  Anyway, Happy Easter and Happy Stitching!!

Yet Another The Night WIP

The majority of the main page of The Night pattern is complete.  I have the orb, the lettering, the backstitching, and the beading yet to do, but that stuff will be done in it's own time.

I'm really excited to be working on the bottom couple inches of this piece and I'm looking forward to seeing this done.  It will definitely be quite a beauty to behold when it's done.

Now for patterns.

That's all for today.  Happy Stitching!!

Laziness Gets in the Way Too Much

Life has gotten in the way, yet again.  Haven't been very stitch productive, but I'm doing the best I can.  I haven't done anything to the Chandelier piece since I last posted.  I have, however, started a small Thomas Kinkade piece.  It's a small Beauty and the Beast piece, which I also have the large version of.  Silly me couldn't remember which one I had when I bought the small one. Oh, well. I like Beauty and the Beast, so I don't mind.

I also received my swap gift for the Sept/Oct 2013 Sprite Stitch from Johloh, which I was super excited about.  The perlers have magnets on the back of them, and the gold bits are in Pokemon badges.  They are meant to be necklace pendants.  I do not have chains for them yet, but I will....eventually.  Been a bit disorganized lately, so my life is mildly chaotic.

I have a few other projects, but I forgot to take pictures of them.  Next time....maybe, lol.

Patterns!

If I don't post again this month, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Happy stitching!!

The Geek In Me

I recently got a new vehicle and I decided I wanted to "geek it out", so to speak.  So I first got decals and a bumper sticker.  Then, I made a Master Sword hanging thing for the rear view mirror.  Then I bought seat covers and stitched Zelda stuff and the headrest covers.  The pictures are self explanatory.

I also finished my last entry for the June/July 2013.  It's the Hyrule Crest.  I'm not as happy with it as I initially was when I was planning it out, but it's still okay.  I worked it out so that it correlates with the spiritual stones and sage medallions.  I had to be a bit creative with a few of them.

No patterns this time.  Happy Stitching!!
