I apologize profusely for not posting lately. It's been my last week of school (ever!!) and I've been busy with so many essays that I barely even want to write this right now. I just wanted to say that I'm still alive, I've just been busy and distracted by many other things, such as homework and Skyward Sword (I'm almost done with it). I should be posting more regularly by Saturday or Sunday, depends on my mood, I guess. In the meantime, I am a frequenter at the spritestitch.com forums and there is a challenge being held this month involving mash ups. I took a little time out of my busy schedule to stitch a little something up for this event.
I'm very happy with it. It's a mash up between the Zelda II game and portal. I have not played either game, although know the gist of them to an extent, which brought me to think of this. If you want a pattern, ask and you shall receive. Hope you are all studying very hard if you're a college student and have a Merry Christmas!!! Happy Stitching!!!!!

Christmas/Winter Themed Patterns
Sorry about the long silence. I've been busy and I haven't had the time to get on. That and whenever I do think about making a post, I don't want to type anything because I've just been typing my life off. Procrastination + the Need to Pass to Graduate = No Time for Fun. In this case, I have 6 assignments and 4 finals to do before next Thursday, and needless to say, I'm a little wiped out. Anyway, despite the fact that I'm pretty much busy from now to next Thursday, I am taking the time to post some patterns. They're kind of Christmas themed, but are for the most part just winter related. It's a shame that I didn't attempt to find more Christmas sprites when I had the chance. This first one is a dove. It has a branch thing, so I guess it's kind of Christmas themed. Barely.
Next is a candy cane, which is definitely Christmas related.
Needless to say, I've been tired lately and since I'm not a coffee drinker and tea and other highly caffeinated drinks just don't do it for me, I drink hot chocolate, which is surprisingly helpful. That and the library is absolutely freezing and it warms me up just enough to make me happy for a little while longer. So I have two hot cocoa related patterns up. It's more like seven, though, but I didn't have the patience (or forethought) to split them up. Here they are.
So enough patterns and back to homework!! Oh, and I was very happy to see so much traffic regarding my last post. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that, not only did I have comments, but that I had FOUR comments. It's the little things that make me happy. Happy Stitching!!!

Christmas Patterns and an Update....Kind of
Let's start with the kind of update. Here's what I've done so far.
Nice right? Heck, there's even a color on it. However, I was doing some stitching yesterday and found out something....
I counted wrong in the space shown with the blue line, so now everything in the red circle has to be restitched. It's a lot of stitching and time that has been wasted. but never fear!! I have enough floss to remedy the situation. I'm thinking I won't get back to stitching like crazy until after I graduate, though, so you won't see an update for a couple more weeks.
Now for the patterns. Only two today because....well, just because. They're Christmas/winter related so yay, I guess. I guess I'm more bummed about the epic fail on my counting, but anyway....the first one is a tree.
It's large, so I'm thinking it could be done for next year as opposed to this year. This next one is of a snowman family. I absolutely LOVE this pattern. It's small and cute and super simple. Definitely something that could get done in a day or in a couple of hours.
With that I am off. I have class and I still haven't had lunch. Happy Stitching!!

Shields and an Update
I understand that Skyward Sword came out last Sunday (11/20) and I have finally come around to celebrating!! I have not played the game myself, but I have been able to view it being played and I have to say that I approve. I particularly love the CD that came with it. But let's not rant about the amazing-ness of Zelda when there are patterns and a WIP update. I managed to do some stitching yesterday and was able to get quite a bit done. I'm still working on the first color, but I'm happy with what I was able to get done.
Now for what you really read this blog for....the patterns!! I decided, in light of recent events, to post a bunch of Zelda shields. Yes, shields. These ones are small and easy to stitch, if they do actually get stitched. Anyway, this first one is the Kokiri shield from Ocarina of Time.
This next shield, I have to admit, I don't really know it's name or where it came from. I'm going to assume it's from OoT, though.
This one is the mirror shield from OoT.
Mirror shield from Majora's Mask.
Wind Waker shield.
And finally a sword and shield. Again, I don't know which game it came out of.
Aren't they all pretty? Anyway, I have tons of essays to write and I have procrastinated enough....or have I? Dilemma of the age. Happy Stitching!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Since I know I won't post anything between now and at least Monday, I decided to post stuff now. I'm going to a place that doesn't have internet access and I won't be coming back to a place with internet until Sunday. On a brighter note, I get to see my WHOLE family, which is a bitter sweet blessing. Anyway, in light of the festivities, I'm going to post some patterns. This is going to be a random collection day. This first one, I guess, could be holiday related...just not this holiday. It's an angel cat, similar to the ghost cat in an earlier post.
This one is season related. It's an autumn dragon hatchling from dragon cave.
Next is a food one. It's Thanksgiving related because it can be a dessert that could be eaten at the end of the meal. It's a cute little cookie!!! Who doesn't like a good cookie?
These next patterns are in honor of me finally quitting my job. I'll let you guess where I used to work ;).
I guess that's all I have for today. I apologize for such the long wait between postings. Hopefully, in light of recent news, I will have a little bit more time to post stuff....or finish the long list of homework assignments that I have to complete between now a the end of the semester. Wish me luck!! Happy Stitching!!!!

A WIP
For the first time, I am going to show a picture of a piece that I'm working on. I'm actually a little excited about this. It's a pretty piece and it's the second time I've used this type of fabric, so it's going slower than I would like to go. However, the fact that I'm actually stitching at all is nice....even if it is just a means to procrastinate, which I technically can't afford to do at the moment. Anyway, without further ado, here is a picture of what the finished will kind of look like.
I love blueberries and my mom quilts, so I thought it would make a nice gift for her...someday, lol. Now for the progress report.
It isn't much, but I'm happy with the progress I've made so far on it. I originally wanted to do it on a different fabric and with the stitches going over 1 instead of 2, but I kind of messed up and it started getting really difficult to stitch. Here's what I mean:
The fabric count on this, I believe, is 32, and the fabric count on the first one is 28, which makes quite a difference. However, since I did start stitching on this, I can't use it for some other big project, since the stitches appear to no want to come out, which would've been nice to know before I started stitching over 1. Thankfully, I already have a project set for this particular piece, which is a couple of Christmas presents for two of my college peeps. Here's how it turned out...
I'm redoing them. The pattern themselves are fine, but it's the necklace part of them kind of sucks. Right, forgot to say what they're supposed to be....necklaces. My one friend is a music major and the other is an art major, so I made patterns that represent their likes. Like I said, though, they have to be redone. The glue I used for the back made the fabric harder than I wanted to and, as you might be able to see, it seeped through the fabric and kind of stained it, which is not good. Although, considering I've never attempted this before, it was a good first try. Any pointers would be helpful. No pattern for today. Next time, though. So Happy Stitching!!!

Thanksgiving Patterns
I know it's been a while, but I, again, blame my job and school.....and my decreasing amount of focus, lol. Anyway, I have Thanksgiving patterns today!! This is all I have related to it, so please don't ask for more. As it is, I really had to stretch the imagination to consider these Thanksgiving related. This first one is a pie....very Thanksgiving-y, I know (sarcasm!! gotta love it). I think I can get away with saying it's an apple pie, but I'm not quite sure.
This next one is a piece of cherry pie. That's what Thanksgiving is all about, right? The food? Oh, that and family and football and....well, you get the point.
Last pie. It's a pumpkin pie!!! Not my favorite pie in the world, but I had to put it up because it's so darn cute!!!
See? It has a FACE!!! That's what makes it cute. Anyway, this last one is a turkey, which I consider quite scrumptious....
...when it's plucked and cooked in an oven, not like this ^. However, this one is still kind of cute. As always, patterns were made by me, but the original artwork is not mine. A link to the pattern can be found on the pattern. Happy stitching!!!

Snowflakes
It snowed last night in my area. Granted, I know it won't last too long, but it still snowed. 'Tis the season, I guess. Anyway, I decided to post now because I know I'll be busy later. In....honor....of the snow, I decided to post snowflake patterns. I'm pretty sure they're all from the same person. Anyway, a link to the original artwork can be found on the pattern itself.
I think they're pretty. They can be any color, and I'm sure they would make wonderful ornaments, if you're thinking that far into the future. Have a busy day today, so Happy Stitching!!!

Another Dragon Day
I am now soooo much more relaxed since I changed my work hours. Granted, I'm now a little frazzled on what to do during all this time that I have, now. It is quite confusing. Anyway, I have some more dragons for all you dragon lovers out there. I don't who's out there, but I know you're out there. Yes, I am a little weird. These dragons are also on dragon cave, but I was able to find the original owner/artwork on deviant art, so a link to the original can be found on all of the patterns. Luckily, they're all from the same artist. First comes the egg and hatchlings.
I was actually fortunate enough to get the purple one, so I don't feel nearly as guilty about making these into patterns as I normally would. Now for actual dragons!!
I personally like the blue one the best. Now for a special one. It isn't featured on dragon cave, but it still runs in the same family as the previous patterns.
I don't think this pattern does the original image justice, so a quick peak at it would be beneficial. By the way, I would would LOVE to see finished pieces of any of the patterns made on this blog. If you have no qualms about it, I would be more than happy to post it for the world to see. Anyway, Happy Stitching!!!

Owls
Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy with work and school work and haven't been able to get myself enough time to post anything. Today, I decided to post some owl patterns. Some are from Harry Potter, one of them is from Zelda, and then there's just some random owl. As always, I made the pattern, but the original artwork in not mine, so a link to the original artwork can be found on the pattern.
This first one is a Hedwig pattern. It's the smaller one of the two, which makes it cute in my eyes.
This next one is also Hedwig. It's the bigger of the two, but it has an accessory....a letter.
This one is of the Zelda owl. The bane of existence in the Zelda world. Well, maybe not the bane, but it is quite annoying.
Now for the random owl. It's a white one, so I guess it could be mistaken as Hedwig. It's an owl on the stump, which is kind of cute.
So that's it for now. I was able to change my schedule a little bit, so now I only work Friday thru Sunday, which is a huge relief and it really opens my schedule up. Anyway, Happy Stitching!!!

Sailor Moon Cats
I finally decided to post more sailor moon patterns. It doesn't really mean that I haven't wanted to, just that I've been more consumed with Halloween patterns and whatnot....that and I've been busy with work and school. Anyway, these patterns are just of the cats. The first one is a nice small one of Luna.
This second one is of Artemis.
This third one is Diana. These first three are by the same artist, I believe.
Aren't they cute? This last one is of both Luna and Artemis, although I use those names loosely as they very well could just be regular old cats that just sort of look like them. This one is on the larger side, so good luck if you do decide to stitch it...or whatever. You could very well be a perler bead person.
As always, I made the patterns, but the original artwork is not mine. I have a link to the original artwork for your perusal if you so choose to know what it looks like. Happy belated Halloween, and Happy Stitching!!!

Dragons
I'm in a dragon kind of mood today. 3 out of 4 of these patterns will come from images from dragcave.net, so I'm not really certain of the original artists. The last one does have a particular artist though so a link to the original image can be found on the pattern. Technically, the ones from dragcave are hatchlings, not full-fledged dragons. These are various colors and all reasonably sized.
Aren't they cute? This last one is a larger one. I'm actually quite speechless on what to say today.
Yep. That's about it for the day. Happy Stitching!!

Pumpkins and a Mask
Since it's so close to Halloween, I'm going to post some pumpkin themed patterns. I'll also post a mask, which I guess could be a Halloween costume. This first one is a regular old pumpkin, but it is shrouded in smoke and has a couple candles.
This next one is of a pumpkin that's smiling. It also has a little bit of candy corn, which is really cute.
This last pumpkin related one is a pumpkin cat similar to that of the witch cat from my last post.
Now for the mask. It's a bit ornate, but still simple enough to not be overwhelming.
Thankfully, I only had one class today and no work, so I wasn't too stressed today...although I technically have a paper due by midnight. I'll be fine. As always, I made the patterns, but not the artwork, with a link to the original on the pattern itself. Happy stitching!!
